Ordered this from Amazon and received it on time with free shipping-bonus! So to summarise:-No interference with my wireless internet or other electronics like phone, printers etc
-Pretty good signal-gets a bit lost if you go outside but generally I think it is to do with how close the monitor and camera are with each other
-EXCELLENT price
-No static since it is digital not analog
-weightless to carry around
-could be better plastic constructionIt doesn't have any fancy features. It's got the basics: exactly what i need - 2.4 digital connection, voice activation logic to save power, good video and audio. Highly recommended!

I got this for a great deal. It's nearly the price of a GOOD audio baby monitor. Any good 2.4ghz digital one costs more than $150. I've used this for 2 weeks now and have not had any problems with it. It's 2.4ghz so there's no static problems that we've had with our old video monitor. The range is OK - but you have to follow the instructions to tilt the antenna horizontally if you are using it on different floors in your house. The screen size is just ok enough to if my 2 year old son is sleeping or awake. Haven't had a chance to use the VOX feature but it looks very straight forward. Overall, Id say this is the best monitor for the price if you are running on a tight budget.

first - I do not think that this item is worth $299. maybe it was 2 years ago, but for today it is not a top-of-the-line new gadget. it feels cheap and light to me.
smart though to make you feel like you get the deal of the century, saving $200.the reason we sent the monitor back was that the baby needs to really cry for the camera/audio to turn on and there is no way to adjust sensitivity. there is also no way to leave the parent part on the whole time so you can hear whats going on in the room the child sleeps in. it turns itself off after a few minutes with a loud beep.if you dont care to hear everything that goes on in your child's room and just want to know the child cries, this monitor will work well for you. when we tested it we didnt hear static or interference, also the picture of the camera looked good and clear, also in the dark. it was nice to be able to see the little one.but we want to hear her wake up - we dont like that she would have to cry for us to know she is up again.

I was recommended to get this infant optics baby monitor by a friend of mine. This monitoring system did not let me down at all. It has just what I wanted and was great value for $100

Pros:
video quality is very good.
Large display on monitor
Night IR works well - I can see my 1 year old baby girl very clearly even when the camera is placed as far as 7 feet away
Audio is loud enough to hear her mumbling in her crib
Absolutely no static
works fine with my wireless network at home
range is good - worked even when I was in my garage which is 2 floors away from nursery room.

CONS:
camera (not monitor) unit is not portable. It must be plugged in with power to work.
The feel isn't as solid as I'd hope (the trade off for being lightweight). However, it survived a few drops from a height of 2 feet from my kitchen table and is still working fine.

This baby monitor is simplicity at its best-although it doesn't have all the snazzy features a 300-400 dollar monitor might have, it has everything that I personally need, after all, I think I will only have one child so there wasn't much point of me getting an expensive product that I would probably use for a maximum of a few years, my boy is pretty well behaved after all. The night vision features is my favourite part about this product-everything is so clear in the dark. The camera works on any surface, it also comes with a mount so you can look vertically down from above. The only design flaw I would pick on is there is no audio sensitivity gain to adjust. It would be nice if it could be set to be more sensitive. However, the makers have thoughtfully put nice features like auto-mute if no sound is detected for a few seconds to cut out the white noise that can be irritating to the ears. Don't get this product if you want something fancy and something to brag about, do get it if you want something that is reliable and easy to use.

I reviewed just about every baby monitor that is out there for weeks and there were lot of expensive ones and some not so expensive. When I bought this monitor it was on sale for $99.98 and I got lucky because price went up very next week to regular $299.98. I cannot say anything bad about this monitor. We have been using it for about 3 weeks and it is great. Very light wt and easy to carry. My wife does a lot of computer work since she has become a stay at home mom and she watches our little one all the time when he is asleep.
Pros: Excellent night vision picture quality and color picture rest of the time
Very light wt.
Easy to mount and sync both unit
Option to add 3 more cameras and can be controlled with one monitor
Very good color of light blue as it works great for our baby boy
Awesome price of $99.98 (when it is on sale)
excellent sound quality
Auto standby mode for monitor and is sound detector activated so if baby makes a little sound monitor comes on.
monitor battery last all day if left on.

Cons: Do not forget to take lens cover off as of my wife and lots of other people said that they thought camera is not working.

Overall great product and great customer service as my wife called them that camera is not working since she forgot to take lens cover off and customer service called us back the next day on Sunday to help us out.

My husband and I took a chance on this monitor and we are soooo glad we did. We knew we wanted a video monitor so we registered for a $250 one at babies r us and it was really big and bulky and some of its reviews said that sometimes they had to change the channel because they were picking up their neighbors baby, I was a little leery so I figured why not look on Amazon to see what else is out there. I really thought that this monitor was too good to be true especially for the price but figured I would give it a shot, glad I did!! The picture is great, the monitor is nice and light weight, and it is completely interference free!! Absolutely no static! The only thing is that the color isn't very crisp, I mean its not black and white but its not vivid either but I don't mind it at all because it doesn't interfere with me checking on the baby. Other than the color not being vivid the picture quality is great. It has great range too! The nursery is upstairs and the monitor still works out on the patio. I love it! You can also sync up to 3 more camera's to the monitor in case you have more than one child.

We just got this last night. We had the Summer Day and Night handheld but the camera blew out in a power outage. This one was cheaper on sale and I really wanted a video monitor again. so we tried it. I like the small, lightweight size. Set up was easy, it seems easy to use. Sound quality is tinny- an adjustment after the Summer monitor, but you can still hear fine. Although, sometimes the sound cuts out altogether. This also happened with our 1st Summer monitor and we ended up getting a new one sent to us, so it may be a fluke thing with this one too. The reason I am writing a review at all though, is because when it is in VOX mode there is a beep every so often when it goes into power saving! I called the company last night (a Friday at 9pm) and left a message with the messaging service. I received a call back within 24 hours- a detailed message saying that it beeps to signal going into power saving mode. If you don't want the beep you can't use that mode. Seriously? Who wants to hear a beep all night long? There are audio monitors that have voice activation and just go in and out of it without beeping. This is so silly if you ask me! I had to comb reviews to find one comment about that, so I decided to write this review in case someone had their heart set on using it in VOX mode all night. The summer monitor does not offer VOX at all, but it saves power by having a video shut off button. The power on that one lasts a very long time. I will add that the video screen on this is great- nice and big. If we can fix/exchange the sound part of this so that it does not cut out I will probably keep it because of the price, and our "baby" is 14 months old already.

I had two concerns when purchasing this baby monitor. I was worried that the rather bright night light in my daughter's room would obscure the ability of the night vision monitor, and I was also worried that the price was lowered because they had found this to be an inferior product. Neither of these has been a problem. I did notice the "cheap plastic feeling" of the casing that other people mentioned in their reviews, but for one third the normal price on Amazon, I was more than willing to look past this. I'm interested to see how long it holds up. I've only had this product for a short while, but I'm moving the monitor around a lot already- we'll see how long the clip lasts. As for the night vision, it seems to be a transitional night vision, allowing anything in the light to remain bright, without obscuring the night vision's ability to clearly make out everything in its view.

The ONE thing I would change would be the beep that happens every time the monitor goes to sleep (after a period of inactivity from the camera view). Even this can be tamed, however, by lowering the over-all volume.

Things I LOVE about this monitor:
-Clear view day and night
-Clear audio
-NO INTERFERENCE
-Private channel
- Battery-saving Auto "Sleep" with inactivity

Things I'm not keen on:
-Battery is not a standard size but a camera battery

I've only ever used an audio monitor, but I took a chance on this. I fell in love with it the minute it was hooked up.

Oh, and if you think the viewer's not working when you first set it up, try taking the small lens cover off the camera... LOL.

I was hestitant on buying this because I wasn't really sure if this was really a VIDEO baby monitor at this price - when the better audio baby monitors reach the $80 range. This is the cheapest video baby monitor at this spec that I found anywhere online. It has a 2.4 inch display monitor (NOT 1.8!), it's runs on 2.4ghz and video+ audio is amazing. I paid under $108 for the unit plus shipping, and I open the box, and realize I get a ONE YEAR WARRANTY as well. This is a great bargain.
Haven't really got to use it yet but I've plugged it in and tried it out for 2 hours. It's very easy to set up and looks nicely designed. It's got the 'plastic' feel to it but I don't care - as long as it does what it is made for I am happy. The range is similar to my sister-in-laws video monitor from summer infant which i borrowed. Maybe 200 feet indoors with walls.
The monitor unit is rechargeable but the camera unit is not.
It's completely static free (and tested) and it says it is encrypted so my neighbor can't see the feeds. Not sure on this still need to test it out.
All VERY good for the money!
It's comes with return labels too...free return shipping for full refund if it doesn't work for you, which will be unlikely. This is real bargain.
I'll be recommending this to my friends.
