This camera delivers a nice, color picture. Works great in low-light, no-light enviroments. The downside is the battery life. The camera can't go much more than a couple hours w/o a charge.

I have owned the Lorex live snap baby monitor for about 11 months, and love it. I love that I can talk to my baby when she is in her room and love that I can also see my other daughter. I would love to upgrade to the newer model with the skype feature though. My only problem is one of the cameras does not stay up so I had to tape it in position.I have never used it for taking pictures so I can't comment on that. I did alot of research and am glade I choose this brand.

The additional cameras for the Lorex LIVE snap baby monitor system work just like the ones that come with the system. They work great and they don't take much to set up. The other amazing thing about these cameras.....they can run on battery power. You can unplug it and put it anywhere and it will work.

This has worked perfectly for our two children. I wish we bought it with our first. The picture quality is excellent, along with the sound, and night vision. It is ultra-portable and uses a common usb port for charging, so it is likely that you may have an old phone charger or other

My only real complaint is that the battery has no audible indicator when it is dying. It just shuts off when it runs out of power, and I often don't realize for several minutes that it has turned off.

These cameras are great, they work as advertised. However, I wish the bases were also hinged clamps. The cameras tip over and fall when tilting them down into a crib. I do not want to put screws into the crib to affix this temporary camera, and although I have used double-sided tape twice, the weight of the camera keeps causing it into the crib. If the base was also a hinged clamp, I would be able to clamp the camera onto on of the rails of the crib.
